Recently, we launched the “Beta” version of the Soundscreen Design page on Facebook. Over the course of the next few weeks, we will updating it with content, helpful information, and best of all, Facebook only contests.

Currently, we are running a contest on Facebook to celebrate the launch ReFRAME. If you post pictures of your favorite unframed print or poster (which is probably hiding under your bed, the shame of it) on our Facebook wall, we will pick a weekly winner and send you a ReFRAME (size appropriate of course, and yes, you can pick the color).  It’s time to give all those great silk-screened show posters their proper due.

Friend us / check out the contest here, and good luck.

What better way could there be to alert people to the virtues of ReFRAME than to make posters telling people about it? We agree.

Today we dropped by Linco Printing in Long Island City, Queens to pick up both the Consumer and Retail POP ReFRAME posters.

The Retail POP posters come in 2 sizes, 13″ and 20″, alerting customers to the virtues of the frame that the poster is contained within. They are 2-color, and printed on 50# glossy stock, and were made on a sheetfed printer and cut down to fit the corresponding frame sizes.

The consumer poster is printed on 30# newsprint, is 2-color, quarter folded, and unfolds to 22.5″ x 33″.

The posters were designed by our friends at Forest.

ReFRAME is availble for sale in our shop.

ReFRAME is, quite simply, the best designed, most convenient, glassless poster framing solution you have ever seen. Given the recent gig poster resurgence that the indie music community has witnessed, ReFRAME is practically an essential product – a highly affordable solution for those who are aesthetically inclined, but don’t want to pay $200 to frame each poster they buy. First introduced in 2004 by product designers Todd Seldman and Paul Galli, ReFRAME enjoyed rapid success in design and museum shops in New York City. Struggling to keep up with demand, they searched out a new home for their innovative, compelling poster framing solution. Recognizing it’s appeal and potential Soundscreen Design has taken the original product, enhanced its design and functionality, and is eager to offer to poster collectors everywhere!

ReFRAME holds posters and prints in place using the simplest of methods: wood, magnets and steel. Once a poster is set in place, a single nail holds ReFRAME flush against the wall via gravity. Since assembly takes under 5 minutes, you can swap out your posters at will, allowing you to constantly refresh your walls, ideal for the curator in all of us.

If you’re anything like us, you probably have a small army of posters and prints stashed underneath the bed or in the back of a closet. Finally, there’s an affordable alternative to expensive framing. Made of solid wood and stainless steel, ReFrame is simple, convenient and aesthetically understated. It holds your work securely with removable, repositionable magnets that cause no damage to your posters and prints.

For you history buffs, the product has a storied past:

“As with most innovative products, the best ideas are often the simplest. Introduced in 2004 by Todd Seidman and Paul Galli of the former product design studio 54Dean, ReFrame was designed as a convenient and beautiful new way to hang posters and photographs. ReFrame strived to solve the problem of both the casual and serious collector, namely, ‘I can’t afford to frame my posters.’ After a few years of steady sales and glowing accolades from the likes of Tokion, Real Simple and New York Times, the designers ceased production to pursue new challenges. Fortunately, Soundscreen Design is able to re-introduce ReFrame, to the relief of both bare walls and poster collectors everywhere.”

ReFrame will be available for purchase this summer, stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks.
