Paul Galli + Todd Seidman / 54Dean

In their existence as a Brooklyn based design shop, 54Dean designed furniture and products for both residential and commercial markets. Todd Seidman and Paul Galli, the firm's two partners, met at Pratt Institute's Master of Industrial Design program where under the tutelage of faculty including contract furniture designer Mark Goetz, they furthered a shared passion for furniture and housewares design.

54Dean's products and designs attracted the attention of leading publications including Interior Design, Metropolis, Surface, Dwell, The New York Times, Real Simple, Jane and Organic Style. Genre magazine wrote of their work, 'For decades, George Nelson’s classic 1947 slat bench/table, designed for Herman Miller has been reinterpreted by wannabe modernists—sometimes with compelling results, other times not. We’d say [with the Georgie table] that the designers at Brooklyn’s 54Dean have done the master proud.'
